The mission of the ‘Newton British School Muraikh’ is molded around the fundamental principles of the founders’ that “education is one of man’s greatest transformative powers that needs to be honed and improved at all times”. Our children benefit from the development of an inquisitive mind that nurtures a thirst for knowledge and a passion for learning. The curriculum combines the importance of the Arabic language, the history and culture of Qatar with the strengths of the British curriculum. Our children learn within an international setting that encourages an understanding and tolerance of the wider world.
Children at the Newton British School Mouraikh, begin their journey from the Early Years, through to Key Stage One, Key Stage Two and Key Stage Three with the aim to see this continue through to Key Stage Four. Our teachers undergo a rigorous recruitment process to guarantee the very highest teaching quality. However, it is also our belief that education is more than just a classroom experience. It is the means by which young people acquire the attributes of self-respect, resilience and confidence. To this end, the school has high expectations of behaviour and a very strong work ethos.
All children who attend the Newton British School Mouraikh, will have access to a wide range of extra-curricular activities offered through the school. We aim to stimulate wider interests that enable our students to develop other talents. Our staff are proud of the school’s values. The voice and views of our parents are also very important to us. Without this partnership the school cannot grow and improve. I urge you to communicate your thoughts, opinions and suggestions to us. We value what you have to say and you are welcome to visit the school.
Mr. Michael Wilson BA (Hons), PGCE, NPQH.
